Every removal company is different when it comes to providing a quote. Move On Time quote is free and there is no obligation to commit to our quote. We usually ask customer for information relating to their move, as it helps determine what it involves and the cost of the move. This will also help the removal company in estimating:
· Amount of space your goods will occupy in the removal van.
· What type of vehicle Move On Time will need on moving day
· The amount your good will be covered up to
· The number of staff we will employ for the move

How would I know that the moving company I select is professional and consists of honest movers and packers who will care for my goods?
We understand that allowing a company into your personal space can be quite overwhelming. Move On Time is fully insured and ensures that the movers we employ have the same values of our company. We advise that anyone who is in the process of looking for a removal company, should do their due diligence, as there are companies out there that are not ensured or experienced. Please ensure that you check if a company is registered, legitimate and a caring company with a lot of experience in the removal industry.
How much does it cost to move?
Cost of moving all depends on many factors:

Is hiring a moving expensive?

How do I arrange for an estimate for my home removal?

Will a large removal van or truck be able to gain access to the road in front of my property?
Access all depends on individual cases. We will always ask the client whether there are any access issues so that Move On Time can prepare before moving dates.
What will You consider to be an access issue?
· Parking restrictions – Paid parking
· Permits only streets
· No parking roads
· Very Narrow roads
· One-way roads
· Underground parking lots
· Gated areas that do not allow large vans
As long as the customers notify us of the above, Move On Time is more than happy to work out alternative routes to make the day run more smoothly.
Do I have to arrange parking through my local council / concierge / local authority, to obtain permits if necessary?
Yes, it is the customer’s responsibility to make sure that they have a permit for all the addresses concerned. No Removal Company or Removal Firm in the industry would usually take any responsibility for this. If you could not get one on time, you might be able to ask neighbours for a visitor permit to use for that particular day, if available and applicable.
Let your neighbours know that a removal van will be parked outside your house and may cause them inconvenience.
How much notice must I give to book a date for packing or moving?
Move On Time always sends quotes via email. A rule of thumb is that we hold our quotes valid for 14 days. We understand that customers will typically want to source other quotes before officially choosing a moving company, that is why it has a 14-day period.
We also have customers that will sometimes add additional items to their inventory list weeks or a few dates in advance. As a company, we are quite relaxed with this. We would ask if the customer notifies us as soon as possible, as we would need to see if this will affect the quote.
Can the movers and packers at the delivery address place each item where I desire?
Yes! Move On Time are more than happy to assist clients with helping move items into the rooms in which they desire. “Your satisfaction is our priority” Each one of your items will be placed precisely where you would like them to be placed, hassle-free. Our staff will do everything necessary to make sure your entire move is trouble free.
When should I start planning my move?
Everyone is different and has their own unique requirements when it comes to moving, so there is not an actual date or time when you should plan to move. However, Move On Time will suggest in giving yourself plenty of time to allow for planning, as this will ease stress and make moving day more enjoyable. Some of our customers contact us a 1 – 4 months in advance to ensure that their moving date is available for booking, and to see what it would cost to actually move so that they can factor it into their moving budget.
Can you disassemble and assemble furniture?
Yes we can, provided it is not a specialist assemble or disassemble. The safest way to transport furniture which can be dismantled, is to disassemble them for safety reasons whilst in transportation. If you would like the option of disassembling your items, please contact one of our sales consultant, who would be more than happy to talk about pricing.
Do you unattached and attach White Goods?
It is not normal for Move On Time to do this. Our teams have knowledge to disconnect machines. However, this takes time and will incur additional costs for the delivery. It should also be noted that we will not be held liable for any damages incurred. It is solely the customer’s responsibility to inspect all areas upon completion, and any plumbing jobs to ensure all parts are safely secured and together (e.g., washing machine's drainpipe cap is purchased to close where it is being disconnected from or hoses).
Do Removal Company Move Frozen Food?
Move On Time do does not promote that we can transport frozen food. This is because it is not included in our insurances. However, if the customers contact us beforehand, we can make an exception and arrange alternative transport.
Can Move On Time take out windows or remove doors if required?
Although we do not personally remove windows ourselves, we are happy to arrange removal of a sash window for items to go through with companies that we have worked with in the past. We ask that you consider the extra costs that this may incur.
Our team has experience of removing doors, this can be easily arranged provided it does not require a specialist. Pictures can be sent to expedite the overall process, this may incur additional cost, depending on the size of the job.
Does your moving company supply Packaging Materials and cardboard moving boxes?
Yes, we can supply a full range of Packaging Materials, whether just cardboard moving boxes for storage or full moving kits. We can supply our branded wide range of top-quality Packaging Materials for big or small moves, delivered as and when you need.
Do you provide safe Storage Units with lock and leave storeroom solutions?
We currently do not offer storage units; however, we have a list of contacts and are more than happy to help find you a storage space that suites your needs.
How do I confirm a booking with Move On Time?

What is the estimated time to prepare household goods to move with 2-3 professional movers?
Below is an average time in a standard property with 2-3 packers to pack household goods, it varies depending on how occupied the property is. Studio to one-bedroom flat takes between 2-4 hours to pack. A two-bedroom house usually takes between 3-5 hours to pack. A three-bedroom house typically takes between 5-8 hours to pack. Four-bedroom house roughly between 8-12 hours to pack. The five-bedroom house approximately takes between 10-12 hours to pack.
